Dec. 13 - Participants Sought for ASRT's Leadership Academy for Educators

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists is seeking educators to attend the 2008 Leadership Academy for Educators. The three-day workshop will take place July 24-26 at the ASRT office in Albuquerque, N.M. The deadline for applying is Jan. 31. Twenty educators will be selected to attend the 2008 Leadership Academy for Educators.

"The ASRT Leadership Academy for provides educators with the opportunity to build a foundation of shared values and resources so they can be successful in their profession," said ASRT Director of Education Kevin J. Powers, EdS, RT(R)(M). "We offer tools, technologies and strategies for assessing instructional outcomes, as well as introduce methods to enhance program administrative tasks, implementation of technology in the classroom and varying methods of student assessment."

Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with invited guests from the Association of Educators in the Imaging and Radiologic Sciences, the Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.

ASRT will provide transportation and lodging for all participants. To apply, complete an application at www.asrt.org Events and Conferences. Participants must be ASRT members with a join date no later than Jan. 31, 2008, and be employed full time as a program director, clinical coordinator or didactic faculty member.
